About Captain T's Fishing

Captain Thomas Haughton, a/k/a Captain “T,” has been fishing the Alabama Gulf Coast since before the age of five, learning the waters of Mobile Bay and the offshore waters south of Dauphin Island, Alabama, from an early age.

Captain T’s passion and respect for saltwater fishing were instilled in him through his father and grandfather, who shared his love of fishing and the outdoors. Born and raised in Mobile, Captain T became a permanent resident of Dauphin Island in 2006. Living on Dauphin Island has allowed him to turn his lifelong passion for fishing into a full-time career as a fishing charter captain while continuing the never-ending learning experience that comes with fishing the Gulf Coast.

During the off-season, Captain T works as a commercial fisherman on various vessels, expanding his knowledge of deep-water fishing, offshore conditions, and the many species found throughout the Gulf of Mexico. He especially enjoys offshore fishing for Tuna and Grouper and loves sharing those experiences with his clients.

During the summer months, Captain T spends his days taking guests on Dauphin Island fishing charters, including half-day and full-day offshore fishing trips targeting Red Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Sharks, and other Gulf Coast species. Trips are available from Dauphin Island, Gulf Shores, and Orange Beach, giving anglers the opportunity to experience some of the best saltwater fishing Alabama has to offer.

Captain T’s Fishing & Outdoor Adventures offers private, family-friendly inshore and offshore fishing charters from Dauphin Island and the Alabama Gulf Coast. Fishing aboard a federally permitted 31-foot AmeraCat catamaran, Captain T takes guests into offshore federal waters in search of Red Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Tuna, Sharks, and more. Every trip is fully equipped and tailored to your group, whether you’re an experienced angler or bringing the family out for your first Dauphin Island fishing trip.
